A smaller BMX that actually feels right to ride

The Seed 16" is built around a younger rider from the start. The short frame, 16" wheels and smaller components make the bike easier to control, so learning does not begin with trying to manage a bike that is simply too big.

A 16" top tube and very short 11" rear end keep the setup compact and responsive. That helps when pumping through the skatepark, learning bunny hops, working on manuals or just getting more confident on the bike.

Smaller parts make a real difference

The Salt Seed bar has a 6.77" rise and the Salt Rookie cranks are only 127 mm long. Both are sized to suit the rest of the bike, giving a younger rider a more natural position and more room to move over the frame.

Add the wide Salt Tracer tyres and 9T cassette hub and you get a simple, compact BMX setup that is ready for proper riding rather than just cruising around.

Look after your BMX and it will last longer

A BMX bike is not indestructible. Jumps, tricks and hard landings put a lot of stress through the frame and components, so parts can wear out or become damaged during use.

Check the bolts, wheels, headset, cranks, pedals, brakes and other connections regularly. If you notice any play, sort it out before riding again and replace worn parts when needed.

Safety and responsible use

BMX riding involves a risk of falls and injury. RMDBike is not responsible for injuries or damage caused by a mistake while attempting a trick, a fall, use of the bike contrary to its intended purpose or instructions, incorrect assembly carried out by the user, lack of inspection or maintenance, unauthorised modifications, or continuing to ride despite visible damage.

This does not apply where the incident was caused by a product defect or other circumstances for which RMDBike is responsible under applicable law. When a bike is damaged, the cause matters, so every claim is assessed individually.

Important information about your new BMX

• Read the warranty terms supplied with the bike before your first ride.
• Bikes ordered online are delivered approximately 90% assembled.
• Before riding, the pedals, handlebar and seat need to be fitted. Some models may also require the front wheel to be installed.
• Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the initial inspection and servicing of the bike. Keep any service documentation required under the warranty terms.
