Below you'll find answers to the most common questions about applying for an installment loan through Alior Bank.

FAQ – Before activating the loan

 

What is the minimum / maximum loan amount?

You can apply for a loan ranging from PLN 300 to PLN 20,000.

How can I access the pre-contractual information document?

You can download the PDF file after filling out the loan application — it will be available once the agreement is displayed.

Will my data be checked in BIK (Credit Information Bureau)?

Yes. During the application process, the customer must give consent for BIK data processing. This is required to verify the installment loan application.

Which products can I purchase in installments?

Each store agrees individually on which products are available for installment payments. Eligible products are marked with installment purchase information.

Why was my loan application declined?

We do not provide the reason for a negative credit decision.

What is the interest rate?

The interest rate depends on the store and the selected product. The nominal interest rate, APR, and total loan cost are shown after the application is submitted. If the offer doesn’t meet your expectations, you can cancel the process.

Can I get a loan if I have a fixed-term employment contract?

Yes, as long as you meet the other verification criteria.

What is the minimum income and employment period to apply for a loan?

The minimum net income is PLN 500.
Required employment periods vary by income source:
• Employment contract, military/managerial contracts, board members, public officials – minimum 3 months
• Self-employed – 6 months
• Pension/pre-retirement benefit, disability pension – 1 month
• Mandate contract / contract of specific work – 6 months
• Agricultural activity – 12 months
Additionally, the employment or benefit period must not be shorter than the loan repayment period.

Do I need a guarantor?

No, we do not require guarantors.

Will I receive a fee and commission table?

You can download the table during the final step of the loan application process.

How do I complete the 1 PLN verification transfer?

After accepting the loan agreement, we display a list of banks for the transfer:
• If your bank is listed, the transfer is processed via Blue Media S.A. (PayByLink, Fast Transfer).
• If not, select “My bank is not listed” to view ELIXIR transfer details on screen and by email. You must then manually complete the transfer using the provided account number, amount, and title.

Which account should I use to make the 1 PLN transfer?

To verify the transfer correctly, the following conditions must be met:
• The transfer must be made from the account declared in the application and belong to the applicant.
• The personal details in the bank must match those in the application (e.g., “Radek” vs. “Radosław” may cause verification failure).
• If entering transfer details manually, make sure the title matches exactly as displayed during the application process. Any discrepancies may delay or block loan activation.

I made the 1 PLN transfer but didn’t receive confirmation — what does it mean?

If the system doesn’t positively verify the transfer within 5 days of application submission (e.g. due to incorrect data), the loan will not be activated. You will receive an automated email confirming this.

Will I receive a refund for the 1 PLN verification transfer?

The 1 PLN transfer is used for verification and is non-refundable.

 

FAQ – After activating the loan

 

When will the loan be activated / when will the funds reach the Seller/Store?

Once the loan is activated, the funds are transferred directly to the seller's or store's account. They can then proceed with processing your order.

When will I receive the product from the store?

The delivery time depends on the Store / Seller. Once the loan is activated, the merchant is immediately notified and the funds are transferred in parallel. The seller may act on this system notification or wait for the funds to be booked before shipping your order.

Which account number should I use to repay the loan?

The repayment account number is provided in the loan agreement shown during the application process and in the repayment schedule sent by post after activation. The account number is unique for each customer. If you don’t know your account number, please contact Alior Bank’s customer service.

Can I repay the loan early?

Yes. You may repay the loan partially or in full at any time. Partial repayments must be requested via letter or at an Alior Bank branch. The repayment will be treated as capital repayment and a new repayment schedule will be issued.

How do I make repayments (via bank or post)?

Repayments should be sent to your individual loan repayment account number (provided in your agreement and repayment schedule sent by mail). Payments must be made according to the agreed repayment schedule.

Can I withdraw from the loan agreement?

You have the right to withdraw from the loan agreement within 14 days of signing. You can do so at any Alior Bank branch, by calling 0 801 11 55 99, or by sending a withdrawal request to: Alior Bank S.A, ul. Domaniewska 52, 02-672 Warsaw.

When will I receive repayment slips?

We do not send repayment slips. After the loan is activated, you will receive a repayment schedule by mail with your account number, payment dates, and amounts.

Can I change the loan repayment date?

To change the repayment date, please contact Alior Bank’s customer service.

What is the Alior Bank S.A. hotline number?

The hotline is available at (+48) 0 801 11 55 99 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. If you're calling from abroad, use (+48) 12 370 71 10. Call charges are based on your operator's rates.

Who has access to my personal data?

Only selected employees of Alior Bank have access to your personal data.

How can I obtain a bank statement about the loan?

You can request a bank statement at any Alior Bank branch. A fee will be charged in accordance with the Bank's Fees and Commissions Table.

I run an online store and want to offer Alior Bank installment payments. How do I get started?
