A proper BMX, just built for a smaller rider

The Carve 16" is not a kids' bike dressed up to look like a BMX. It has compact BMX geometry and components chosen for real riding, simply scaled down for a younger rider.

The 16.5" top tube, short 11.25" rear end and 16" wheels make the bike easier to control. According to Kink's general size chart, a 16" BMX is worth considering for riders around 96–122 cm tall. Treat that as a starting point though – body proportions and riding experience matter too.

A compact setup that is easier to handle

The 7" Kink T700 bar and 140 mm Mission Triumph cranks are proportioned to the rest of the bike, so a younger rider does not have to fight an oversized setup.

Wide Mission Tracker 16" x 2.4" tyres add stability, while the short rear end helps keep the bike lively when bunny hops, manuals and the first tricks start to happen.

Look after your BMX and it will last longer

A BMX bike is not indestructible. Jumps, tricks and hard landings put a lot of stress through the frame and components, so parts can wear out or become damaged during use.

Check the bolts, wheels, headset, cranks, pedals, brakes and other connections regularly. If you notice any play, sort it out before riding again and replace worn parts when needed.

BMX riding involves a risk of falls and injury. RMDBike is not responsible for injuries or damage caused by a mistake while attempting a trick, a fall, use of the bike contrary to its intended purpose or instructions, incorrect assembly carried out by the user, lack of inspection or maintenance, unauthorised modifications, or continuing to ride despite visible damage.

This does not apply where the incident was caused by a product defect or other circumstances for which RMDBike is responsible under applicable law. When a bike is damaged, the cause matters, so every claim is assessed individually.

Important information about your new BMX

• Read the warranty terms supplied with the bike before your first ride.
• Bikes ordered online are delivered approximately 90% assembled.
• Before riding, the pedals, handlebar and seat need to be fitted. Some models may also require the front wheel to be installed.
• Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the initial inspection and servicing of the bike. Keep any service documentation required under the warranty terms.
